  • Yay!

I'm exhausted but it's too late in the afternoon to nap so instead I'm going to try to stay up a little longer and go to bed at like 9. Tomorrow is my last day this week that I have to work/open.. but it will also be my 6th in a row and frankly, although I'm surprisingly okay with waking up super early and working at 5:45 am, it catches up to you after a few days. But I get Friday and Saturday off! Which means I'm going out Friday night and having more than one drink! Wow, that'll be the day. Friday night I'll probably get a "Hey.. can you open tomorrow?" call. And I'll be like LOL NO. (:

Anyway. I'm really excited to get a cat. Things I need to find out/ask about/etc.:
    My friend's cats' breed
Research cat food and litter brands/ingredients/prices
    When I move
What I'll need to buy when I move initially (like how much toilet paper/if I'll need a new shower curtain/etc.)

I don't feel like finishing that list right now, you're welcome. (AKA I'm tired.)

  • A good idea..?

So I've been trying to be creative lately. No, not like.. OMG LET'S DRAW BECAUSE I'M INSPIRED sort of thing (not meant to be offensive to any artists, just not that type of creative).. but a.. what can I do that nobody has done before? And not crazy stuff, just how to use what's around and fill needs. Those needs include both others and my own, which might mean something that I can provide to others for a fee, to fill my need for money for rent, bills, groceries, and that sort of thing.

I had this idea that I think, if worked on, could be sort of genius. It's already sort of been done but I kind of want to take it to a new level.

You know how when you go to a school library and log on, you can chat with a librarian if you have questions? And how they have AIM bots that auto respond to you with everything from jokes to news to sales?
What about something like that combined? Where.. I (and/or other people) would be available to chat with during a certain time about something?

Or it could go along with a business, such as Avon or something, where you can chat with me, the representative, and be able to fill orders, ask questions, discuss products, and get to know the customer. It would be handy (for those who use AIM) and it would also allow people (me, in this instance) to work with people that don't necessarily live near me.

There are the What? When? How? questions.. What would I be available for? When would I be available? How would this be able to make me money?

It seems it would be easier if it were along with another means of profit, where it would ASSIST sales instead of BE the sale.

I'm going to try and do some research and think about it some more.

  • Wow.

Today was weird.. and I'm just going to blab quickly about this guy I work with. An odd one.

He's 19, but he looks like he's about 12. And he acts about the same age. Now, i'm not saying that I dislike people who are immature necessarily or that like to chat or whatever it is.. but there is a limit. And he meets it. Let me give you some examples.

My manager decided to give him and I our breaks at the same time today.. so of course he awkwardly asks if he can sit with me and I awkwardly tell him that I didn't mind.. even though I had been planning to make a phone call. He then proceeded to fill my nap time with his life story, which to be honest.. nice that you have one, but I barely know who you are and frankly, it doesn't interest me.
Then, later when we're back and working again, I was training a new girl on her first day, and he comes up to me and says, 'Hey, come here!' in an 'I need help' way. So I go over and ask what's up, and he asks me where the soap for the sink to wash dishes is. He's standing right in front of where it should be, so I tell him it should be there and turn around to go train the new girl again (who was standing at the register looking at me like she needed assistance). And he shouts 'WAIT! But it isn't here!'. Then I turn around and say to him, "Look. If it isn't there, and that's where I told you that I would assume it would be, then what makes you think I would know where else to look? Ask the manager, please." and proceeded to go back to my work.
And again, later, he does one last, completely rude and unnecessary thing. I was running drive through while training a newer girl on drive through for her first time, and training a girl in the front for her first day. The front girl asks for me so I go to her and ask what she needs, and there he is, odd boy behind the counter. He had just clocked out minutes ago and wanted food. The new girl says to me "He says you need to take his order." We only get our employee discount once during a shift and I had WATCHED him take his earlier during our breaks. And either way, I'm not allowed to give discounts anyway and he knows that. So I asked him, ".. What's up?" To which he proceeds to order his food. I interrupt him halfway through his first item and say "Wait. Why can't she do this?" To which he replies "Because I want you too!". I had had enough. I was running drive through almost completely by myself, including bagging orders, and trying to make sure front was running smoothly enough. My manager was up my ass (rightfully so, because it's super hard to keep up service times in that situation so I don't blame her) and I didn't have time to take minutes to take his order (he always decides to order super super super slow). I, instead of blowing up at him, looked him straight in the eye and said, "Look. You know I'm training two people right now while running drive through and trying to keep service times. You know I don't have time. You know I'm busy." And I told the new girl to please take his order and went back to what I was going.

I just don't get it. Ugh.

The Muzics :D
